Brings Strong Service Delivery and Predictability to Continuous Improvement Programs
DETROIT, MI: Today Broadsword announced that Julie Robinson Calfin has been named Director of Consulting of Broadsword Solutions Corporation (Broadsword), an organizational performance innovation and engineering strategy company. Calfin's appointment is effective September 1, 2012.
Calfin, who has served as Senior Consultant for many of Broadsword's best-known and most successful clients, is stepping up to this newly created position in the company.
With over 15 years of experience in management consulting, organizational change management, process improvement, and program management, Calfin's career progression includes multiple promotions within five companies from Consultant to Director - most notably as a member of the Global Automotive Consulting Practice at Ernst andYoung, LLP. She joins Broadsword's leadership team as a Director and Executive Consultant.
"Julie is a natural choice to lead our growing consulting practice," said Jeff Dalton, Broadsword's President. "Having worked with her since the 1990s, I know Julie to be an excellent performer with outstanding leadership skills who will help our firm deliver the highest quality of service to our clients. Her deep experience as a thought leader in Organizational Change Management will set us apart from our competition and allow us to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients."
Prior to being named Director, Calfin successfully led enterprise-level business transformation programs for Broadsword's clients in the automotive, science, aerospace, and defense industries.
"I am honored to have the opportunity to lead Broadsword's Consulting practice," said Calfin, "and I am looking forward to working with each of our consultants to establish the standard for Broadsword's service delivery. By providing more support and training, we will help out consultants deliver consistent, high-quality services to our customers."
Calfin holds a bachelor's in business administration from Pepperdine University and has completed requisite coursework though the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University. She has been a member of the SEI, the Society of Human Resource Management, and the American Society for Training and Development.
