Fairfax, VA, July 13, 2012 - CC Pace Systems, Inc. (CC Pace), a leading Agile IT services provider, announced today a strategic partnership with Broadsword Solutions Corporation (Broadsword), an Agile process innovation firm, to co-present "Introduction to CMMI-DEV v1.3" on September 11-13, followed by a one-day hands-on workshop, "CMMI + Scrum Learning Experience" on September 14.

The 3-day course provides attendees with a detailed overview of the Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration, or CMMI, and the one-day workshop shows what it is like to use CMMI with Scrum, a popular project management process model.  Participating systems engineers, software developers, project managers, and process professionals will gain an understanding of how to use the CMMI to improve their Scrum or Agile implementation, and how to make CMMI work with Scrum.

"We see a definite need for this type of training, as people are trying to understand how to use CMMI in an Agile environment," CC Pace Training Coordinator Jenna Bayer said.  "Our partnership with Broadsword shows we are committed to Agile and our clients, and that we are fully aware of their needs."

"CC Pace is well known for helping clients achieve strategic outcomes by adopting Lean and Agile practices," Jeff Dalton, President of Broadsword Solutions, said.  "We are excited to join them in sharing how organizations can use CMMI to improve Agile methods, making their investment in Agile more powerful and productive."
